The Properties:

We have searched literally hundreds of vacation properties surrounding The Shenandoah National Park boundaries.  Less than 10% of the properties we searched met the qualifications we needed to accommodate our stringent requirements. 

All of our properties have the following in common:

• Secluded.  We will have privacy from any neighbors, allowing our group of rides to enjoy the lodging facilities without worry about disturbing others.
• Unique.  Whether it is a historic property, has scenic views, a river front property, allows for great outdoor settings, or recreational opportunities, we have selected properties that are unique.
• Camping Area.  Since most of our participants will be camping, we require that the properties have a flat area close to the home, allowing the group to stay together.
• Cooperative Owners.  We are a unique operation.  Luckily, our property owners appreciate what we are doing, are excited to work with us, and are glad you are there.  We do not try to fit square pegs in round holes.  If the owners are not thrilled to have us, we will not use the property. 

 

Because these are individually owned rental properties, we are at the mercy of the owners.  Although we have great relationships with our owners, circumstances can change, properties may sell, or conflicting events may occur.  We may have to change our properties, but we will always keep our participants informed as soon as we know of any changes.  Additionally, we will try our best to make changes in accommodations with similar properties, but changes in accommodations can change the itinerary.

 

Be respectful of the individually owned properties:  These properties are owned by individuals no different than you.  We are fortunate they have allowed us to use their property and set up with a large number of campers.  Our ability to continue to use these property is dependent on the respect we provide their property.  And it goes well beyond this property.  Property owners talk, and can make it difficult to find rental homes in the future.  Disrespect of the owners property will not be tolerated.  Please help us provide future cost effective tours and do not hesitate to hold fellow tour participants accountable to this as well.
