A typical daily menu includes:

The Food:
Most meals will be provided by Best of VA Bike Tours. I grew up as the youngest of seven kids, with Mom cooking a complete meal every breakfast and dinner. Sundays were a feast in our home where Mom and Dad would spend all day creating the food for the day, starting with a huge Sunday brunch and a three course dinner. I followed this passion with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management and years of experience in the hospitality industry. We love food, and we know you will see this. We can meet the request of vegetarians, but please notify us in advance. We will provide menus that will include plenty of protein, carbohydrates, and sweets if you desire.
What you can count on:
A hot breakfast every morning: Made to Order Omelets, Oatmeal Pancakes, Waffles, or Muffins served with hot and cold cereal and fresh fruit daily.
Lunch on our layover days ranging from: gourmet sandwiches, trail mixes, fresh fruit, salad and energy bars. Lunches on our transfer days will typically be on your own. We will mark good places for you to eat.
Unique Dinners: Please do not think for a second that meals prepared by the tour company means that the quality will be less than a catered or restaurant provided dinner. As your guides, after a long day of work, we want to eat well also. Whether it is Grilled Portabella Pizza, Chili-Lime Kabob, home-made Lasagna, or Fajita Buffet, you will not go hungry. Typically, we will have one or two meals in which you will be on your own at the restaurant of your choice, or we will dine as a group at a selected restaurant.
Beverages: Each morning you will have juices and coffee prepared for you. At the start of every ride we will have an ample supply of energy drinks to fill your bottles with. Upon arriving back from your ride we will have iced coffee waiting to pick you back up from a long day of riding. We will constantly have iced spring water available.
