Day 1:
Arrive after 4 pm at Morningside Guest Cottage.  If you are having that first day cycling twitch we will have a 5pm short ride allowing you to evaluate your skills and learn about the Garmin GPS you will have all week.  Appetizers will be waiting on you when you return, then 7:30 dinner and relax by the brook side fire pit.

Day 2:
Layover at Morningside Guest Cottage.  We will have a wonderful ride planned in the foothills of Afton and Wintergreen mountains.  Here you will have opportunities to hit a several of Albemarle County’s best wineries.  Or, this is your opportunity to really push yourself if you haven’t yet; climb Wintergreen Mountain and ride the Blue Ridge Parkway back up to Afton Mountain.  This will be the most challenging of all of your days if you choose this option.

Day 3:

Transfer day to Gordonsville's Wolf Trap Farm.  This is a wonderful ride through Thomas Jefferson’s Albemarle County, and on to James Madison’s Orange County.  Or, stay on Skyline Drive and take the ride from Afton to Swift Run Gap and into Barboursville.  With the cooler fall temperatures, you may enjoy a dip in the hot tub, or a stroll on the trails through the 500+ acre horse farm.  Wolf Trap Farm is host to many horses, with some competing nationally.

Day 4:

We will take you on a ride that will include Barboursville, Burley, and Sweely Vineyards.  Extend it further to take in some of the most fun and scenic rides in Madison County.  This afternoon we will head to Monticello, home of President Thomas Jefferson, and Charlottesville’s Downtown Mall.  Filled with great shops, great eateries, coffee shops, ice cream shops, there is something for everyone.  We will gather for dinner at Siips where they will have a wonderful three course meal with wine pairs.

Day 5:

Transition Day to Linden’s Mount Welby.  We will head back to Skyline Drive, completing the middle portion up to Thornton Gap.  You can start at Gordonsville or we will take you to the top of the Drive to start.  Today’s climbs on the Drive are pretty mild, with a very long descent into Sperryville, before a beautiful ride to Mount Welby.

Day 6:

Today we will head back to Sperryville, and complete the 70 mile loop that includes the Northern portion of Skyline Drive.  A fun ride descending on Skyline Drive into Front Royal, this is our favorite down hill of all our tours that allows you to go for seven miles without pedaling or braking.  Enjoy with wonderful gardens and patio fire place at this breathtaking property.

Day 7:

We will ride North today, hitting some of the most breath taking estates with various Virginia Wineries en route.  Take your time today, enjoy a relaxing ride today, take it all in, as you are finishing up a wonderful cycling vacation.

Day 8:

We will get you back to your vehicle today, either supporting by bike, in our support vehicles, or a combination of both.
