Tour Includes:

Day 1:

Arrive in Woodstock at The Shenandoah River Lodge.  Arrival time is 4 pm.  We will plan a short 10 mile jaunt tonight at 5 pm so you can learn your GPS before the longer rides start.  Enjoy appetizers that await you on your return, and socialize till our 7:30 pm dinner, allowing for late arrivals.

Day 2:

Enjoy the nice rides of the Northern Shenandoah Valley today.  Here you will get to take in some of the areas most beautiful farm lands.  Perhaps you will want to put your feet in the river and relax, or we can arrange for a casual canoe trip down the Shenandoah.  The choice is yours.  Don’t worry about pushing yourself today, tomorrow has some nice climbs. Gather back for dinner, hot tub, and campfire.

Day 3:

Today you get to choose, do you want the long, pace setting climbs of Skyline Drive setting a more leisurely 60 miles to Luray, or the killer mountain passes taking you on the shorter yet steeper 30 mile route to Luray.  Either way, we are sure you will feel this one.  So, tell us in advance and we will arrange to have the masseuse ready for you.

Day 4: (3 nights at Jordon Hollow on tour 5 and tour 9)

Enjoy Jordon Hollow, catch up on your history never leaving the property.  We can transport you to a river outfitter to enjoy a day canoing the Shenandoah.  We will support you on a leisurely ride in the foothills of the Shenandoah National Park boundaries or ride the middle portion of Skyline Drive from Thornton Gap to Swift Run Gap.  Tonight, we will have a wonderful dinner prepared by Jordon Hollow’s Farmhouse Restaurant. If you are on the eight night tour, you will have another night here, so leave something for tomorrow.  (first night in restaurant, second night prepared by tour)

Day 5:

Enjoy a leisurely ride to Elkton, where you can then make the choice to Swift Run Gap taking on the last section of Skyline Drive to Waynesboro and Crimora, or stay in the valley to enjoy the beautiful farmlands of the Shenandoah Valley.

Day 6:

Today we will take you to Afton Mountain where you can continue south from Skyline Drive when it becomes the Blue Ridge Parkway.  Take the Parkway to Wintergreen Mountain and drop down off the Parkway, and ride back to Crimora passing through Waynesboro.  Those wanting one horrific climb a day will choose to drop down off Afton Mountain, take the valley to Wintergreen, climb the mountain, and cross the Parkway, meeting up with the rest of the riders back to Crimora.

Day 7:

Today is a day of riding in the Valley.  We have beautiful rides incorporating small towns and wonderful farm lands.  We will take a drive to Staunton for the afternoon and evening, with a wonderful downtown area to browse, choose the dining experience of your choice, before we gather back together at The American Shakespeare Center to catch “All’s Well That Ends Well.”  What a fitting end.

Day 8:

It is time to get you home.  This could be a leisurely ride back to your vehicles by van or you can ride your bikes for a nice century before heading home.  We will work with you in providing any length of ride in between.
